On 19 October 2024, Sheikh Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, the President of the Asian Chess Federation, visited the Central Chess Club named after M. Botvinnik in Moscow. His Excellency was welcomed by the President of the Chess Federation of Russia Andrey Filatov and his wife Elena, who shared with him the rich history of the Central Chess Club. Dmitry Oleinikov, Director of the Chess Museum, guided the guest on a tour, showcasing the most important exhibits from the unique collection. The honoured guest showed great interest and asked for more details about certain chess sets and their history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During his visit, Sheikh Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nahyan announced to CFR President Andrey Filatov that schoolchildren from the city of Al Ain would take part in the Belaya Ladya tournament next year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
